16GB Nexus 5 at 29K, 32 GB Nexus 5 at 33K, Now Available in India

Google’s flagship phone, the Nexus 5 is now available in India. The phone is available on the India Google Play store. Following the latest trend, the Nexus 5’s India availability comes a mere two weeks after it was officially launched in US. Gone are the days when Nexus 4 took, 6 months land on Indian soil.

The Nexus 5 will be shipped within 2-3 working days.

Nexus 5 smartphone Specs and Features:

  • Sports a 4.95-inch screen with 1920×1080 display which is at 445 pixels per inch.
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core chipset clocked at 2.3GHz and Adreno 330 GPU clocked at 450MHz.
  • 2GB RAM
  • Runs on Android 4.4 or Kitkat. It’s the first device in India to run Android 4.4 or Kitkat.
  • Dual Cameras: An 8 MP Rear Camera and a 1.3 megapixel front camera. The Rear 8 megapixels camera comes with Optical Image Stabilization. Some new settings included in the camera are HDR+ mode, 360 degree shot.
  • HDR+ Mode enables the user to take a burst of pictures in one shot and combine them to give the best possible picture under the light settings.
  • The Optical Image stabilisation ensures that even a shaky clicker won’t click a blurry picture.
  • Photosphere lets a user take a full 360 degree picture. Something which Apple boasted about when it launched iPhone 4S.
  • 2,300 mAH battery with Google claiming a talk time up to 17 hours and Internet time up to 8.5 hours on Wi-Fi, up to 7 hours on LTE (4G).
  • Supports wireless charging.
  • Connectivity Options include: Newer Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4G/5G) 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC (Near Field Connectivity) allowing you to transfer data by tapping two phones, Bluetooth 4.0 (Low energy version), a Micro USB port, 2G, 3G and 4G LTE.
  • Sensors include Accelerometer, GPS, Compass, Proximity/Ambient Light, Gyroscope.

Nexus 5 Price in India: The 16GB version is available for Rs 28,999 which is Rs 1,000 cheaper than the price that LG is officially selling it for (that apart it runs on Android 4.2.2, which is a bit disappointment, as it’s not the latest Android) with LG’s Optimus 3.0 user interface on top). The 32GB version is selling for Rs 32,999.
