Every time BJP and Aaam Aadmi Party (AAP) Spokespersons share a News room debate, the BJP spokespersons start calling AAP and its leader as a Bhagoda (Deserter). The tag seems unjustified.
The AAP came to power primarily on the issue of Jan Lokpal. If it couldn’t garner the support on that issue, then on what moral ground it could continue in power. The situation is not very different from Moraraji Desai led Government many decades ago, when he chose to resign on the question of liquor prohibition. Any political party must be credible enough to die for the promises it made. AAP’s stand can’t be understood by those political parties who don’t think twice before promising moon. AAP’s stand can’t be understood by those political parties who see nothing wrong in buying support (also called horse trading).
