One of the key features introduced with iPad3 is the 4G LTE support. Since, 4G is not available in most of India; and the one launched by Bharti Airtel a week ago, will not be compatible with the new iPad. Hence the ipad3 WiFi+4G LTE model buyers in India; will have to settle with 3G. Hence it can be expected that buyers in India will go for Wi-Fi model of the new iPad.
Notably, Bharti Airtel has already launched India’s first 4G network in Kolkata and plans to launch 4G to other cities like Bangalore, Pune and Chandigarh in the next few months.
Meanwhile, if you are not a big fan of Retina display; then Apple has slashed the price of the iPad 2 in India starting at Rs 24,500 for the 16GB Wi-Fi version and Rs 32,900 for the 3G version.
