Ask your mother what she craved about most when you were in her tummy; and you will be surprised to know that even if your mother has stopped liking the said food now; which she craved about then; that particular food features top in your most revered foods list.
According to a new study by the researchers at the the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine,
“What a woman eats during pregnancy determines a child’s taste buds.”
The study is more extensive in its finding, when it is compared to countless country specific proverbs sharing similar wisdom; as it includes all the items eaten; rather than those specifically craved about. So if a woman, habitually smokes or drinks alcohol while pregnant; the child will be inclined to smoking and drinking.
But, on a secondary reasoning, the study seems to be underlining the age old wisdom brought to us in countless proverbs; as a woman seldom eats something she doesn’t like to during her pregnancy.
So to summarize, if your mother craved chocolates at the time she bore you; then chances are that you’ll be crazy about chocolates. If she smoked then, then you will be smoking at your college too.
