It’s good to see Supreme Court appointed Justice RK Lodha committee imposing lifetime ban on CSK co-owner Gurunath Mayappan and Rajasthan Royals co-owner Raj Kundra for indulging in betting. The move will help cricket’s image in the country.
But the foolish IPL rules are a big injustice to the fans of CSK and RR. Why? As, if people are at fault then punish them, what is the logic behind imposing a two-year ban on CSK and RR? It’s like banning a company for the fault of those who own or work for it. I’m not comparing an IPL franchisee with a company (as I don’t know what it really is). What I’m saying is once an IPL team comes to existence, it is owned by its fans too. That’s why it’s a sad day for their fans.
