The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the admission process for post-graduate diploma and certificate courses in information security.
Both courses are conducted by the university’s School of Vocational Education and Training (SOVET).
According to programme coordinator Urshla Kant,
“These programmes aim to raise high professional ethics in the individuals and students towards providing information security and make one competent enough to acquire the necessary skills and techniques to ensure protection against any infiltration,”.
“The programme has been designed to prepare the youth to experiment and learn the skills and techniques needed for providing protection and security to the information available in the virtual environment and to make learners both responsible and smart net users. The eligibility to apply for this course is 10th pass or its equivalent,”
Course (s) Eligibility:
The graduate students can go for the one year Post Graduate Diploma in Information Security (PGDIS) programme. The six month Advanced Certificate in Information Security (ACISE) will be available for matriculate students.
Course Fee and Duration:
The course fee for the one-year diploma is Rs.8000. The fee for the certificate course is Rs.4000.
Last Date to Apply:
January 31 and July 30 for January-June and July-December Semesters Respectively.
