The entrepreneurial utility of the MSc programme is for those who want to set up vermicompost units, silkworm egg production centres and chawki-rearing units.
Scope of M.Sc. Sericulture and Seri-biotechnology
The MSC degree in Sericulture and Seri-biotechnology is relatively less popular among students of Life Sciences . This makes the job scene for the post graduate degree holders, particularly bright. Those who successfully complete MSc Sericulture and seri-biotechnology can get jobs as assistant professors in degree colleges and universities, as scientists, extension officers in the Central Silk Board and various Sericulture Research and Development Institutes, laboratories and pharmaceutical companies.
