Noida techie’s Tweet fetches him $36,000 MBA seat in US

A techie based in Noida, India won himself a MBA seat valued at $36,400 (approx. 18 Lakh Indian Rupees) in a US based college after he participated in an ‘International Tweet Competition’ that was organised by the University of Iowa’s Tippie School of Management (TSM).

Rahul Rathi, an engineer by profession with Tech Mahindra, won the seat after he answered a question, to be answered in 140 character Twitter message, which was: “What makes you an exceptional Tippie full-time MBA candidate and future MBA hire?”

 To this Rahul Tweeted:

“In an age where packaging is as imp as content, I present me in a manner that makes me stand out from the crowd,”

The Tweet was adjudged the winner, by the panel of judges consisting of TSM staff and students of the colleges of the competition, as it communicated tweeter’s points effectively.

Rathi is the sole international winner of the competition that was introduced in 2011.
