Rafale Deal and support arguments getting more pointless | 3 Points

There is surely something in the Modi Govt. led Rafale deal, which the Government wants to hide. No… it is not something related to National security.

The primary reason for such a guess are the kind of arguments the Government is offering in support of the new Rafale deal, every other day.

Let I list just three here (You can read more in 5 points which make Modi Govt.’s Rafale deal defense weak):

  1. For a moment, let us assume that it was the Congress led UPA Govt. which signed the secrecy clause.                                                                     But if the present Government has signed a new better deal then why did it include the same secrecy clause again? Had it not included the secrecy clause, it would have at least told the Nation who among the two Governments has made a better deal in terms of price, specifications.
  2. For a moment, let us assume that it was the Congress led UPA Govt. which removed HAL from the deal.                                                                  But who stopped the present Modi led BJP Govt. from bringing in the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) again?
  3. For a moment let us assume that the present BJP led NDA Government didn’t find Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) fit as well.                     For a moment let us assume that the French Company didn’t find HAL (with 70 years experience and 4000+ fighter planes manufactured/assembled) fit either.                                                                 But what merit did the present Govt. see in a private Company which was created just 12 days or 3 months or 6 months ago and has no experience whatsoever?                                            Ideally, the Indian Government must have cautioned the French company from doing business with such a newly created company. Rs. 50,000 or Rs. 60,000 Lakh crores is not a small money.
