Real estate and Construction Sector in India to generate 2 Lakh Jobs 2011

The real estate sector in India, encompasses growth in both commercial and residential spheres, is growing exponentially each day — A scenario which offers loads of career opportunities for working professionals.
Below is a snippet on the flourishing industry and the hiring trends it is seeing presently:

1) The real estate market in India, the Indian real estate and housing sectors received US$ 1.12 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) during 2010-11 , according to the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion India (DIPP).

2) The industry is also seeing growth in private equity (PE) investments as well. About one million or 10 Lakh jobs were to be created in the organised real estate sector for a second consecutive year in 2011, reports Ma Foi Randstad Employment Trends Survey (MEtS).

3) The real estate and construction sector in India is one of the top sectors, likely to generate more than two Lakh jobs in 2011. The other sectors being — Hospitality , IT and ITeS, and media and entertainment . Hence, for the real estate sector, the hiring trends have been pretty positive this year.
