We often hear about paid news these days. To what an extent a paid news can be paid? You ask.

Keep reading, and you decide.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be launched today in India. Apple’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, will start taking bookings on October 1, 2016. Both are rival phones.

It’s useful to know that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 had to face a debacle after it’s international launch. Samsung had to recall the model worldwide after incidents of its battery catching fire.

Now lets come to the question of paid news or a mere co-incidence.

On September 20, 2016 this Business Newspaper, published a comparative piece (in terms of business) between Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and Apple iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus. The article talked about Samsung Note 7’s battery catching fire, and how Samsung requested the Civil Aviation India to allow phones on flight; and how the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) turned down its request.

Within three days, on September 23, 2016, the same Newspaper, informs the readers about an incident where a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has actually caught fire!
