Those defending Asaram are saying that if Bapu would have done something wrong, he would have accepted his mistake. Now, do you really think a person with so much air (ego) about Self, can ever remove his defenses and accept the Mistakes(Speak the Truth)?
A write-up linking David Frost, Richard Nixon and Asaram.
Internationally popular British Journalist and TV presenter, David Frost died of a heart attack a day before yesterday. He was 74.
David Frost was relatively unknown till 1977. In 1977 the historic Frost-Nixon interview happened and Frost became a celebrity overnight. In the said interview, Frost managed to break Nixon’s defenses and compelled the controversial US president accept on record that “He lied to American People and the “Watergate was a Mistake”.
Not surprisingly though, Nixon’s political career ended with the interview. He was later impeached and became the only US president to resign the office. On the contrary, David Frost’s career went up after the said interview.
In early nineties, Doordarshan telecast Guinness World Records Series hosted by Frost.
Speaking of personal defenses – Accepting one’s mistakes is not a meagre accomplishment. Only a person who has begun the journey towards simplicity (purity of Heart), can do that. Hence the credit for Nixon’s acceptance goes to Nixon as well.
A person who has not yet embarked on the journey towards simplicity (means purity of heart), can never accept his mistakes.
Take for instance, Asaram. Whenever Asaram comes out unscathed from some major controversy or incident, he starts boasting his greatness to his followers. After a recent helicopter crash involving him and others, Asaram emphatically told his followers how his greatness (the one which he acquired by the mantras) saved not only his life, but also of those who accompanied him in the Chopper. Pointing his fist skywards, Asaram announced, “Mantron Mein itni Taqat hai, ki Akaal Mrityu Bhi Bhaag Jaye” (Mantras are so potent that Even Untimely Death is Averted)
After a 2008 incident, bodies of 2 children were found on the Sabarmati riverbed after they went missing. They were studying at Asaram’s Gurukul at Motera. CBI filed a complaint of culpable homicide and booked 7 sadhaks of the ashram. Later, speaking about the incident, Asaram told his followers, that his mantras are so potent that No one can do him an inch of harm. Watch the video below and you will understand what I mean:
