Telecom Operator Vodafone India has come up with new competitive tariffs for 3G data plans. Known Pay As You Go (PAYG) Plans, the new plans range from as low as Rs 25 for 25 MB data usage (100 KB per 10 paise) to Rs 1599 for 12 GB of data usage (750 KB per 10 Paise).
Beyond the stipulated data usage, the user will be charged at the rate of 50 KB/10 Paise (Thus if you exceed 25 MB above your stipulated Data usage then you will have to pay an additional Rs 50).
Vodafone India claims that the Pay As You Go (PAYG) rate for prepaid customers is the most competitive and lowest in the market. With almost 80 percent reduction from the existing rate at 2p/10kb, the company has every reason to say so.
Vodafone further announced that it will now allow its customers to use data from their bundle package while on-net roaming across any location in India without any additional charge.
At least in Maharashtra and Goa, where Idea had recently announced new 3G data plans for its prepaid and postpaid mobile customers in Maharashtra and Goa circles. The new data plans allow Idea prepaid and postpaid 3G customers to experience unlimited 3G services, with rentals starting from Rs 750 for post-paid customers and Rs 950 pre-paid customers. But, if you are in these two circles, do read the fine print, as many a times such unlimited plans do have throttled Speeds.
